• The Mid-Michigan Section of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) cordially invites you to attend the annual Spring Banquet on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Great Hall Convention Center in Midland.  Our special guest speaker for the evening will be Dr. Ravi Shankar, Global Business Advisor for Dow Energy Solutions. Dr. Shanker will speak on the energy landscape, manufacturing, and opportunities for innovation in the energy storage industry.
  
  If you will attend, please RSVP to Bruce Holden, Secretary, at bsholden@dow.com by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2013.  
  
  $30 per person for members and spouses, $35 per person for non-members. Please pay at the door the evening of the event – with cash or a check made out to Mid-Michigan AIChE.  
  
  Please note: if you make reservations but then do not attend the event, AIChE will still need to charge you for the cost of the dinner to recover our costs.
  
  
• The 2013 Mid-Michigan AIChE Awards Program nomination submission closed on Friday, April 19, 2013.  The awardees will be announced at the Annual Spring Banquet on Wednesday, May 15, 2013.
  
  
• Applications acceptance for the Mid-Michigan AICHE Scholarships and Michigan Tech Summer Youth Program are now closed. The winners will be announced at our Annual Spring Banquet on May 15, 2013. If you are interested for future opportunities, please return for our program in 2014.
   
  
• The Mid-Michigan Section of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) held a dinner meeting and lecture by Dr. Jonathan Wenzel on March 13th. Dr. Wenzel presented a lecture entitled “Research and Education in Michigan’s Newest Chemical Engineering Program” which is available for online viewing here.
